Woods proud to be back at East Lake

ATLANTA (AP) Tiger Woods is facing long odds of capturing the FedEx Cup and the $10 million bonus.

That's all relative this year.

Just having his own parking spot at East Lake, being back at the Tour Championship for the first time since 2013, even feeling lost during a practice round because the nines were flipped, were all reminders that his greatest accomplishment this year was being part of the 30-man field.

Iowa St. to hold vigil for slain golfer

AMES, Iowa (AP) A vigil is planned to remember an Iowa State University student-athlete who was killed this week while playing golf on a course near the college campus in Ames.

FedEx Cup to offer $15M to 2019 winner

ATLANTA (AP) The bonus pool for the PGA Tour postseason doubles next year to $70 million in a revamped system that gives a head start to top players at the Tour Championship and pays $15 million to the FedEx Cup champion.

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said Tuesday the changes were designed to make the FedEx Cup finale easier for fans to understand and to avoid the potential for separate winners of the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup. Read More...

The PGA of America is bringing its biggest championships to Congressional over the next two decades.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) Ashun Wu of China birdied the 18th on Sunday to secure a one-stroke victory over Englishman Chris Wood at the KLM Open.

Broadhurst wins Champions-best 3rd title

GRAND BLANC, Mich. (AP) Paul Broadhurst won The Ally Challenge on Sunday for his PGA Tour Champions-leading third victory of the season, closing with a birdie to beat Brandt Jobe by two strokes in tour golf's return to Warwick Hills.

Fighting a back injury, Broadhurst rebounded from a bogey on the par-3 11th with birdies on the par-4 12th and par-5 13th and made a 15-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th. Read More...
