Hamilton snatches pole position from Vettel for British GP

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) Sebastian Vettel was fastest ahead of Mercedes pair Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in second practice for the British Formula One Grand Prix on Friday.

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) Lewis Hamilton believes Mercedes' mishaps in Austria will make the team stronger and help him become the British Grand Prix's outright most successful driver on Sunday.

Racing director Eric Boullier resigns from McLaren

SILVERSTONE, England (AP) Struggling Formula One outfit McLaren has accepted Eric Boullier's resignation as racing director and announced a restructure of its leadership.

Boullier, who joined the British team in 2014, had overseen its worst run across its 52-year history. McLaren has not won a race since 2012 and hasn't landed a podium position in more than four years. Read More...
